Getting Started
How do I register my school?
Click "Start Free" on any page. Enter your school name, choose a URL, fill in your details — and you're ready. The entire process takes under 2 minutes. No credit card needed.
What happens after I register?
You land on your school dashboard. A guided setup wizard walks you through 7 steps: school profile, classes, subjects, staff, students, time periods, and fee structure. Complete them in any order. Skip what you don't need yet.
Do I need to install anything?
For the web — nothing. Just open your browser. For mobile — download the SchoolCare app from Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS). Your school also gets a free custom domain and dynamic website automatically.
Can I import existing student data?
Yes. Bulk import students, staff, and other data using CSV files. The import tool maps your columns automatically and validates data before importing. No data entry one-by-one.
How many users can I add?
Unlimited. Teachers, staff, parents, admin users — add as many as you need. You only pay per student. Everything else is unlimited.
Do staff members need training?
No. SchoolCare is designed to be as simple as WhatsApp. If someone can send a WhatsApp message, they can use SchoolCare. Every action takes 2-3 taps. We've tested this with non-tech users across India.
Pricing & Billing
How much does SchoolCare cost?
₹1,999/year platform fee + ₹48 per student per year. That's it. All features included. Free custom domain, free dynamic school website, free mobile app. No tiers, no hidden charges, no per-module pricing.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. 3 months, full access to everything. No credit card required. Just register your school and start using it immediately.
What does the platform fee cover?
The ₹1,999/year platform fee covers: your free custom domain (like yourschool.com), a full dynamic public website, hosting, SSL, daily backups, and all platform updates and new features for the year.
How does billing work?
Annual billing: ₹1,999 platform fee + ₹48 per student. For example, 300 students = ₹1,999 + ₹14,400 = ₹16,399/year. If you add more students during the year, top up the difference.
What payment methods do you accept?
UPI, credit/debit cards, and net banking. UPI is the fastest and most convenient.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 15 days of payment. After that, you retain access until the end of your billing period. Contact billing@schoolcare.app.
Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes. Schools with 500+ students or organisations managing multiple schools — contact us for custom pricing.
What about GST?
Prices are exclusive of GST (18%). GST will be added to your invoice as required by Indian law.
Features & Modules
What's included?
Everything. Student management, attendance, exams & report cards, fee collection (online), timetable (auto-generated), notices, messaging, library, transport (bus routes & stops), settings, roles & permissions. Plus a mobile app for Android & iOS and a free dynamic school website with your own domain.
Can parents pay fees online?
Yes. Parents pay directly through the app or your school website — UPI, cards, net banking. Your school gets automatic receipts, payment tracking, late fee reminders, and reports. Zero manual work.
Do I get a free domain and website?
Yes. Every school gets a free custom domain (like yourschool.com) and a full dynamic public website. The website includes image gallery, public notices, online admission forms, and parents can log in and access the app from there too.
Can parents access the app?
Yes. Parents get their own login. They see their child's attendance, exam results, fee status, notices, timetable, and bus location. They can pay fees, message teachers, and get instant push notifications.
How does the transport module work?
Define routes, stops, vehicles, and assign students. Drivers and conductors get their own app login. Small van — driver marks attendance. Big bus — conductor marks attendance. Parents see live bus location and get pickup/drop notifications.
What about WhatsApp notifications?
Available as an optional add-on. You choose which notifications go via WhatsApp — attendance alerts, fee reminders, notices. Cost is calculated based on what you enable. Push notifications and email are always free and unlimited.
What about AI features?
Coming soon: AI-powered student performance evaluation. Every student will be evaluated based on their academic patterns — providing personalised insights for teachers and parents. This will be included in your subscription at no extra cost.
Security & Privacy
Is my school's data safe?
Yes. Each school gets its own completely isolated database — your data is physically separate from every other school. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, role-based access control, and automated daily backups.
Who can see our school's data?
Only your authorised users. Teachers see only their classes. Parents see only their children. Accountants see only fees. Admins control who gets access to what through role-based permissions.
Do you backup our data?
Yes, automated daily backups. We also recommend schools periodically export their data through the app as an additional safeguard. Your data is always exportable.
Can I export all my data?
Yes. Student lists, attendance records, exam results, fee reports — everything can be exported in CSV and PDF formats at any time. Your data belongs to you, always.
How do I delete my data?
Visit our Data Deletion page to submit a request, or email privacy@schoolcare.app. We verify your identity and delete all data within 30 days. Full details on our Data Deletion page.
Do you comply with Indian data protection laws?
Yes. We comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and the Information Technology Act, 2000. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
