Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SchoolCare, a school management platform provided by Webskul Digital Innovations Private Limited ("Company", "we", "us").

By registering a school, creating an account, or using any part of SchoolCare (website, mobile app, or API), you agree to these Terms. If you are registering on behalf of a school or organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Service Description

SchoolCare is a cloud-based, multi-tenant school management platform that provides:

• Student, staff, and guardian management
• Attendance tracking and reporting
• Examination management, marks entry, and report card generation
• Fee collection, invoicing, and payment tracking
• Timetable generation and management
• Notices, messaging, and notification delivery
• Library and transport management
• Mobile applications for Android and iOS
• A free dynamic school website (subdomain on schoolcare.app) where parents and staff can also access the app

Each school operates on an isolated database. Your school's data is completely separate from other schools on the platform.

3. Accounts & Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• One school registration per school entity — duplicate registrations may be merged or removed
• You must be at least 18 years old to register a school account
• The school administrator is responsible for managing user access within their school

4. Pricing & Payment

• SchoolCare pricing: ₹1,999/year platform fee + ₹48 per student per year, billed annually
• The platform fee covers your custom domain, school website, hosting, backups, and platform updates
• All features are included — no hidden charges or feature tiers
• Optional add-ons (WhatsApp notifications) are priced based on usage and clearly shown before activation
• Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are exclusive of applicable GST (18%)
• Payment is accepted via UPI, credit/debit cards, and net banking
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' prior notice. Existing subscriptions are honoured until renewal

5. Free Trial

New schools receive a 3-month free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial, you may subscribe to continue using SchoolCare. If you do not subscribe, your account will be suspended (read-only access for 30 days) and then data will be retained for an additional 60 days before permanent deletion.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use SchoolCare for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Indian law
• Upload or transmit malicious software, viruses, or harmful code
• Attempt to access another school's data or another user's account
• Use the platform to send unsolicited messages (spam) to parents or staff
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of SchoolCare
• Share your account credentials with unauthorized persons
• Use SchoolCare to store data unrelated to school management
• Exceed reasonable usage limits that negatively impact other users

7. Data Ownership

Your data belongs to you. SchoolCare is a data processor, not a data owner. Specifically:

• The school retains full ownership of all data entered into SchoolCare (student records, attendance, fees, etc.)
• You can export all your data at any time in standard formats (CSV, PDF)
• You can request complete deletion of your data at any time
• We will not access your school's data except for technical support (with your permission) or legal compliance
• We will never sell, share, or monetize your school's data

8. Intellectual Property

SchoolCare's software, design, logos, and documentation are the intellectual property of Webskul Digital Innovations Private Limited. Your subscription grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform for school management purposes. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software.

9. Service Availability

• We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
• Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance via email or in-app notice
• We are not liable for downtime caused by factors beyond our control (internet outages, natural disasters, third-party service failures)
• We perform regular backups but recommend schools also maintain their own data exports

10. Cancellation & Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your school settings
• Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period
• Refunds are available within 15 days of payment if you are unsatisfied — contact us at billing@schoolcare.app
• After 15 days, no refunds are provided for the current billing period
• After cancellation, data is retained for 90 days, then permanently deleted

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law:

• SchoolCare is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not responsible for decisions made by schools based on data in SchoolCare

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay fees, or engage in activities that harm the platform or other users. We will provide 15 days' notice before termination (except in cases of serious violation). Upon termination, you may export your data within 30 days.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, India. Before initiating legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation for at least 30 days.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use of SchoolCare after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
