Pricing FAQ
Why do you charge an annual fee AND per-student?
The ₹1,999/year covers fixed costs (your domain, SSL, hosting, backups, product updates). The ₹58/student/year covers variable costs (usage, support, storage) that scale with your school size. This is the fairest way to price for schools of all sizes — a 50-student school pays ₹4,899, a 500-student school pays ₹30,999.
What's actually included in the ₹1,999 annual fee?
Your free .schoolcare.app subdomain, SSL certificate, hosting, daily backups, all software updates, all new features we ship, and email+WhatsApp support. Everything else scales with student count.
Can I pay monthly instead?
Yes. Monthly billing is available — same total cost, billed as 1/12th each month. Annual upfront saves you 10%.
Is there a discount for paying annually upfront?
Yes. Pay annually in advance and save 10%. Pay quarterly or monthly, no discount but no penalty.
What if my student count changes during the year?
Add students anytime — just pay the pro-rated ₹58/student for the remaining months. Remove students? Your per-student total is reduced at next renewal.
Do you charge GST? Is it included?
GST of 18% is extra (SaaS tax in India). Your invoice will show platform fee + per-student + GST = final amount. GST certificates provided quarterly for your records.
How do refunds work?
The 3-month free trial means you pay ₹0 upfront. If you cancel mid-paid-year, we don't refund unused months but you retain access until period ends.
What happens when my 3-month trial ends?
On day 85, we send you a WhatsApp nudge to choose: pay to continue, or export data and leave. If you do nothing, your school is archived (not deleted). You have 30 more days to export data before final deletion.
Is WhatsApp alerts really unlimited free?
For transactional alerts (attendance, fees, exam results) — yes, built-in and free via our WhatsApp Business API. For bulk marketing to parents (promotions, ads) there is a per-message cost if usage is very high, but normal school use is fully covered.
What about international schools?
We have 4 pricing tiers based on country (detected via phone dial code at registration). India = ₹58/student. Tier 4 (US/UK/etc) = ~$3/student. See /contact for a specific quote.
